DESCRIPTION

An antique pair of English Regency Sheffield plate candlesticks. The candlesticks are unmarked as many English Sheffield plate pieces are, they date from the first quarter of the 19th century, which is around 1825. The silver has been professionally cleaned, polished and a new felt pad has been added to the bottoms. The silver is very brilliant and minimal copper shows throughout, mainly at the edges.. The candlesticks stand approximately 11 inches tall and the base is 5 5/8 inches in diameter.

CONDITION

One candlestick leans slightly. There are scratches throughout, some deeper. Some copper shows, mostly on high relief areas. Unnoticable very small indentations from years of normal use. The pair appear to have been very appreciated and well cared for considering their age.

SHIPPING

The candlesticks will be carefully packed using bubble wrap and a rigid cardboard box. The carrier will be Federal Express Ground for businesses or Federal Express Home Delivery, the piece will be insured for the sold price, a Federal Express tracking number will be emailed to the buyer on the day of shipment, which is usually within two business days after purchase, and the package will have to be signed for.
