DESCRIPTION

A vintage, rarely seen, heavy, solid brass, swan door stop, made in Waynesboro, Virginia by Virginia MetalCrafters. The door stop is marked on the back with the following: Virginia Metalcrafters insignia / ©️1999 / Historic Charleston Foundation Insignia / Virginia Metal Crafters / Made In USA. The door stop measures approximately 14 1/2 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The door stop is a reproduction of an antique doorstop which was commissioned by the Historic Charleston Foundation to sell in their gift shop to raise funds for the foundation.

CONDITION

The original discolored coating has been removed, the door stop has been cleaned and polished. The door stop is offered with no coating , the buyer can keep the door stop polished or let it establish a patina over time.

SHIPPING

The door stop will be carefully packed using bubble wrap and a rigid cardboard box. The carrier will be Federal Express Ground for businesses or Federal Express Home Delivery, the piece will be insured for the sold price, a Federal Express tracking number will be emailed to the buyer on the day of shipment, which is usually within two business days after purchase, and the package will have to be signed for.
