DESCRIPTION
Vintage wall sconce or appliqué attributed to Robert Mathieu, made in France in the 1950's. The sconce is very well made with red painted sheet metal cones and machined brass fittings. The sconce swivels in different directions. The sconce contains its original European bayonet sockets, the sconce cannot accommodate American bulbs, thus two new European bulbs are included. The switch is new, the twisted nylon cold and vintage inspired plug are new. The plug is for American 110V sockets. The sconce can be hung on a hook and easily moved to different locations if necessary.
CONDITION
Sconce is in original condition, there are bruises, scratches throughout. The cones are a bit out of round. All are appropriate to years of daily use. Sconce has its original European sockets, the switch has been replaced, the twisted nylon cord is new as well as the vintage inspired cord.
SHIPPING
The sconce will be carefully packed using bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts and a rigid cardboard box. The carrier will be Federal Express Ground for businesses or Federal Express Home Delivery, the piece will always be insured for the sold amount, a Federal Express tracking number will be emailed to the buyer on the day of shipment, which is usually within two business days after purchase, and the package will have to be signed for upon arrival if the value is over $100.00.
