DESCRIPTION
A vintage "Thebes" bench designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar in Berne, Indiana. The solid mahogany legs, with an x - stretcher, rests on button feet. The original fabric is most likely an original Jack Lenor Larsen design which covers a buttoned and rubber filled seat. The bench was designed in the early 1950's, this bench is of early production and was denoted as model number 5002. The bench stands approximately 17 inches tall, 23 inches wide and 23 inches deep. It is marked on the bottom with a brass "Dunbar" tag.
CONDITION
The bench is in all original condition, the stool has never been restored. The original fabric may be slighttly discolored due to age, the foam seat has disintegrated. But, the stool looks great and is still usable.
SHIPPING
The bench will be carefully packed using bubble wrap and a rigid cardboard box (26" x 26" x 22"). The carrier will be Federal Express Ground for business addresses or Federal Express Home Delivery for private residences. The bench will be insured for the agreed upon price, a Federal Express tracking number will be emailed to the buyer on the day of shipment, which is usually within two business days after purchase, and the package will have to be signed for upon arrival.
