DESCRIPTION
A beautiful pair of vintage cantilevered chairs designed by Robert Haussmann for de Sede, the chairs were distributed by Stendig. The model number for the chairs is RH - 304 and they were produced between 1955 - 1960. The legs of the chairs are made of shiny chrome plated flat tube steel, the seats are upholstered in a fine sueded leather, very supple and soft. Approximate dimensions are as follows: the back of the chair is 31 1/2 inches tall, the back is 21 inches wide at its widest, the seat is 18 inches deep, the seat is 18 1/2 inches tall and 21 1/2 inches wide. Each chair has a "de Sede" sticker on the cross support under the chairs and one chair has a round "Stendig" tag on the bottom and the other chair has a round "Stendig" tag and a rectangular tag "Stendig" tag on the bottom. The chairs were manufactured in Switzerland.
CONDITION
The pair of chairs are in very good vintage condition, the chromed legs are in very good condtion, with some scratching and wear on the bottom from floor contact.. The leather upholstery has uniformly faded to a beautiful mellow color, there are some barely noticable staining and some small dot discolorations on the leather, but noticable only under close inspection. The leather is still very supple and the foam is in great shape, no petrification. The lining on the bottom of the chairs has some tears and discolorations.

Because of the weight and size of the chairs, the chairs will have to be shipped via a white glove carrier of the buyers choice, the chairs can also be held for pickup for the buyer.
