DESCRIPTION
The chairs appeared in the 1958 Dunbar "Conversation Pieces" catalog. The model number is 127 and the yardage of fabric required was 3 2/8. The fabric choices were from the "S" and "R" series, the "R" series priced as a more high end fabric. Edward Wormley was the designer of line, Dunbar was at the top of it's fame in this time frame, Dunbar was deemed "luxury" furniture, each piece could be customized as far as finish and fabric.
This pair of low slung slipper chairs have deep seats which add to their comfort. They are all original, no changes since the purchase date. One chair has the original "D" metal label under the seat. The chairs are in good vintage condition, stable frame, walnut ? legs and stretchers has nicks and scratches from daily use. The plaid velvet fabric, possibly Jack Lenor Larsen, is in good condition with discoloration from age, no rips or tears. The upholstery appears good, but there is some disintegrated latex dust. The chairs could be used "as is" or refinish the base and reupholstery would make the chairs quite the show piece.

CONDITION
Walnut legs and stretchers have nicks and scratches from average use. The upholstery is in good condition, no rips or tears, discolored from age. No odor. The latex foam appears to have disintegrated, but the seats do not sag.

Given the size of the chairs, shipment will have to be done by the buyer using a shipping means of their choice. R.A.Comer would be happy to work with the buyers choice of shipper.
