DESCRIPTION

A vintage enameled metal box with a slide out wooden drawer. The box was designed by Piero Fornasetti in the 1950's / 1960's and is listed in the book Fornasetti - The Complete Universe. The box is composed of what appears to be a mahogany dovetailed wooden drawer which slides into a black enameled metal box, on the top is depicted a horse and carriage scene with beautiful, vibrant colors. The box has it's worn original felt bottom with remnants of the original early Fornasetti mark. The box is approximately 11 13/16 inches long, 4 1/8 inches wide and 1 3/8 inches tall.

CONDITION

The box is in very good vintage condition. There are some paint chips on the edges of the box at both entries, one larger chip at the front left top corner. Fine scratches over all, some small pits and discolorations. The top is in very good condition considering it's age. The bottom felt is very worn and has a faint redition of the makers mark.

SHIPPING

The box will be shipped via FEDERAL EXPRESS in the US and USPS outside the US, the box will be packed well with bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box, fully insured and the package will have to be signed upon delivery.
