A book surveying Pierre Paulin's career in furniture and interior design. Paulin was well known for his designs during the 1960's for Artifort, designs such as the Mushroom chair, the Ribbon chair, and the Tongue chair, upholstered in foam with brighlty covered stretch fabric, became very popular. Some of Paulin's interiors included commissions by French presidents Georges Pompidou and François Mitterrand for certain rooms in the Elysée Palace in France. His furniture designs are now in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
CONDITION
The white cloth covering and the pages of the book are in very good condition, no hand writing, folds, discoloration, tears, etc. The binding is still very strong. The pages are still very white. The dust jacket shows wear throughout, there is some scratches on the front and back, a tear at the top of the binding and a small tear on the back on the top left, there is some discolorations on the front bottom left.
