DESCRIPTION

A pair of vintage Venini "Clessidre" or hourglasses designed by Paolo Venini in the 1950's. The green / blue hourglass measures approximately 9 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide, the green / red hourglass measures approximately 5 7/8 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide. Both pieces are acid itched: Venini / Murano / Italia. The signature on the green / blue piece is somewhat legible, the signature on the green / red piece is barely legiable and difficult to see. The signature denotes the pieces as being made between 1946 to 1965 / 1966. Since the hourglass was designed in the 1950's the production date is probably 1950's to 1965 / 1966.

CONDITION

Both hourglasses are in excellent vintage condition, no chips, no cracks, no discolorations. The sand is loose and pores freely.

SHIPPING

The hourglasses will be shipped via FEDERAL EXPRESS in the US and USPS outside the US, the box will be packed well with bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box, fully insured and the package will have to be signed upon delivery.
